Andrew Jefford | Dark, saturatedly black-red in color; visually this looks like a very ambitious Petit-Village. The aromas are warm and rich and chocolate- mousse-like; there is, though, a freshness there, too, which presumably testifies to P-V’s Cabernet component. A hint of camphor, cream, and thurible spice. On the palate, this is an attractive Pomerol of singular style due to its terroir and the varietal choices implied by that: You have abundant richness of black fruits yet at the same time a juicy, lively freshness qualifying those fruits. There are moderately textured tannins, but it is really the fruit drive that powers the finish. | 91
Michael Schuster | Densely ripe in fruit on the nose; rich, full-bodied wine, fairly firm in tannin; plenty of ample, succulent, juicy fruit at its heart, moderately powerful, with a nice length of flavor, slightly marked by its alcohol warmth, but with good length. Satisfying mid-rank Pomerol, accessible early, but better with time. 2023–35+. | 90
