Stephen Brook | The nose is rich and juicy, with abundant peachy fruit, and some oak in the background. It’s decidedly sweet on the attack, and while silkily textured, doesn’t seem very nuanced. Fine acidity lifts the mid-palate, giving charm and immediate appeal, but it’s a bit run of the mill, as Malle so often is. Nothing wrong with it, and it always gives pleasure, as here, yet it’s not memorable. Attractive length, though, and a sweet orangey finish. | 89
Andrew Jefford | Pale to medium-gold, with poised, fine-grained, classy fresh sweetness: butterscotch and apricot. Fresh and enticing. Rich, deep, and long on the palate, with ample tropical fruit notes (mango and pineapple) adding grain and contour to the sweet lemon and peach. Impressive. | 88
