Stephen Brook | Tour-Blanche is always a generously oaked wine, and there is quite a strong dose of oak on this second wine, too, leaving the apricot nose rather reticent and subdued. Creamy in texture, it’s also subdued on the palate, not excessively sweet and with an appealing succulence. There is good, if not exceptional, acidity to give the palate some drive and freshness. It’s a touch austere but that’s no bad thing, and it’s certainly drinkable now, though it should keep in the medium term. Balanced and quite long. | 87
Andrew Jefford | Bright pale to mid-full gold, with ample white-mushroom intrigue qualifying the lemon- meringue sweetness. That same lemon-meringue pie sweetness is what you find on the palate, freshened now by lively, sustained lemon-quince acidity. | 88
