Crurated to host iconic wine dinner with Billecart-Salmon and Domaine Fourrier

By Sponsored Content

On Friday, May 5, 2023, Crurated will host an iconic wine dinner in London, featuring seventh generation and CEO of Champagne Billecart-Salmon, Mathieu Roland-Billecart, and fourth-generation winemaker at Domaine Fourrier, Jean-Marie Fourrier.

This very special dinner will take place at the three Michelin-star restaurant, Hélène Darroze at The Connaught, and will feature benchmark wines and exquisite seasonal fare.

Founded in 2021, Crurated is a digital, members-only platform that connects wine lovers with world-renowned wineries and an array of in-demand bottles, sourced directly from the cellars of estates across Europe. By bridging the gap between consumer and vigneron, Crurated seeks to make bottles more accessible to collectors and wine lovers alike—including the most sought-after cuvées in the world.

The evening’s festivities will begin with Mathieu Billecart, who will be highlighting the historic 2008 Champagne vintage alongside the prestige cuvée of the house, Nicolas François. The tasting will continue with the 2008 Blanc de Blancs Louis Salmon, followed by a retrospective of Nicolas François, including the premiering of the new 2008 vintage. Wines from the historic 2002 and 1998 vintages, poured from magnums, will also be served, as well as the 2008 Rosé Elisabeth Salmon and a surprise pick from the cellar.

The meticulously crafted tasting menu journey will continue with a remarkable lineup of wines from Domaine Fourrier, one of the most renowned estates in all of the Côte de Nuits. Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, Fourrier wines are known for their concentrated flavor profiles and refined structures, as well as their ability to age in the cellar. Jean-Marie Fourrier will be sharing two wines from the 2017 vintage, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champeaux and the iconic Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques, as well as the 2016 Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru. For Burgundy and Champagne aficionados alike, the evening promises to be unforgettable.
