With the seventh and largest edition of the itinerant celebration of old vines due to start tomorrow in Northern California, the organizers of The Old Vine Conference 2025: Meeting of the Minds, are offering wine-lovers all over the world the opportunity to experience “key sessions” of the event free of charge via livestream.
The five-day event, which is held in partnership with Zinfandel Advocates & Producers (ZAP), features what the organizers call “a dynamic blend of tastings, seminars, panel debates, masterclasses, and old vine vineyard visits […] dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the world’s heritage vineyards,” and will take place in a range of venues across Northern California from October 31 to November 4, pulling together “an international network of thought-leaders, growers, producers, sommeliers, and media to explore the cultural, environmental, and commercial future of old vines.”
Heading the impressive line-up of speakers are wine writer Jancis Robinson MW, Ridge’s Paul Draper, the founder of The Old Vine Project (South Africa) Rosa Kruger, and Catena Zapata’s Dr Laura Catena.
“California, with its unrivalled heritage of old vines, is the obvious place to celebrate the superiority of wine from these historic deep-rooted marvels, and to encourage their preservation,” Robinson said.
“With free livestream access to the Conference, we can share our mission to safeguard these invaluable old vines and elevate the value of the wines they yield on a truly global scale”, said Belinda Stone, director of The Old Vine Conference.
Registration for the livestream can be found at www.oldvines.org/livestream-2025.
