Andrew Jefford: Dark and black-red, though not opaque. Sweet fruits and sweet spices; pretty, fresh, and elegant, though relatively simple in aromatic construction. Intense, light, soprano-style Port, though its youth means that its fruit bones are still well covered by flesh. The tannins, indeed, could almost be described as extravagant: dense and grippy, with plenty of graphite (pencil-sucking) flavors in the finish. Worth a look mid-term. | 87

Richard Mayson: Mid-deep youthful color and a purple rim; open, hot-county fruit, jammy and a touch stewed around the edges. Very sweet in style initially— plum jam, backed by firm, peppery tannins—but rather lean and one-dimensional on the finish. Drink now to 2030. | 84
