Essi Avellan | First bottle: deep brown color showing oxidation. Second bottle: better, deep golden. A maturing nose of great intensity. Lots of evolution, with an interesting herbaceous edge to the aromatics on top of the honey-toned apricotty fruitiness. Concentrated palate, still with an energetic mousse. Intensely fruity, with a long carry. | 91

Alex Hunt | Rich, autumnal nose of shriveling peaches and hay. Evocative and captivating. Still a good acid bite to it, but well-married with chalky and fruity aspects on the palate. Lots going on—an interesting, challenging wine | 92

Tom Stevenson | First bottle: very dark old-gold color; maderized. Second bottle: paler, floral, toast- infused citrus and red-berry fruit. Lovely and soft, with a fine supporting mousse. | 93
