BUY THE WINE

Essi Avellan | Deep lemon. Strong, evolving nose, with appley fruit and some bruised characters. Beautiful spiciness. Powerful, structured palate, but a little short. Lots of age-derived complexity already, drinking wonderfully today. | 90

Alex Hunt | Two attractive sides to this wine that don’t quite go together: an evolved, decadent, peachy fruit character, and a stern, chalky structure. The former ties in more to the age of the wine, and the latter to the time of disgorgement. So, there is concentration, grip, interest—but a lack of harmony. | 87

Tom Stevenson | Still has some vitality, but essentially old and over-the-hill, which is not unreasonable for a Non-Vintage that is almost 30 years old. | 85
