Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Regardless of the texture’s generosity, an infinitely delicate aromatic array that gives it a personality that is as seductive as ever. | 96

Michael Schuster | Blackcurrant-sweet and oak-cedar redolent, dense and fine; rich, fresh, firmly but finely tannic, a lovely, relatively powerful balance for Brane- Cantenac; very sweet-cored in flavor, the year’s power evident, framed by a finely mouthcoating tannin, fleshy, too, nonetheless, generous, very close-grained and refined, less mineral than often, but so rich in sweet fruit, very long and fruit-infused to finish. Excellent Brane, and these age beautifully. 2030–50. | 93–94
