Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | A relative lack of power, but a fine grain of tannin, ripe, slightly softer in the middle of the mouth. One should wait for the end of its time in barrel before assessing it again. | 93

Michael Schuster | Dense and sweet and subtle and fragrant to smell, complex and full of promise; rich and dense, fresh and finely tannic, a very complete and fairly structured Issan; ripe, sappy, mineral, very long and even across the palate; juicy, succulent, aromatic, gently mouthcoating, slightly more muscular than usual, but all the while retaining its Margaux finesse, and very aromatic above the fruit on the finish. A grand, beautiful, long-term wine. 2030–50+. | 94–95
