Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Beautiful mid-palate, with its fleshy and velvety touch, long, already smoky, harmonious, more accessible than Haut-Brion, though a bit less complete. | 96
Michael Schuster | A dense combination of ripe red and black fruit and fine mineral impressions to smell; full-bodied but not heavy, a sufficient freshness, and a very fine dry tannin; ripe, open, easy, flowing, fleshy—an impression more of the vintage, and a fine impression, than, at the moment, a sense of the terroir as such; less mineral/ complex than it often is; generous, warm, subtly gravelly, with the slightly dry tannin texture as a separate impression. And with lovely, fragrant, mouthcoating, raspberry and blackcurrant persistence, where you really see the quality. Its easy, open character to the fore, soft and welcoming. 2028–48+. | 93–94
