BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Ruby to light garnet rim. Intense, fairly complex, crushed stones and small red-fruits nose. Medium body, clean firm cranberries and wild strawberries palate. Fairly long, with lively clean fruits and firm, mature tannins. | 89

Andrew Jefford | Light, translucent red; Pinot-like hues. Refined and elegant woodland, oak-copse scents. Vivid, fresh, urgent, and acidic, though at the same time soft-textured, with those woodland complexities to the fruit that the aromas suggested. Satisfying and complex wine, though given the slightly raw grain to the fruit, I wouldn’t keep this a long time. | 88

Michael Palij | A curious nose, uncharacteristically ripe and plump, with black fruit and surprisingly high alcohol. Clumsy oak dominates on the finish, and the wine appears ungainly; an unappealing mix of vanilla and alcohol. Struggling to see this as a product of 2014. | 80
