Bruno Besa | Garnet to tawny, pink. Open, ripe, warm, earthy black-fruit nose, with prunes, crushed stones, and roast-meat undertones. Balanced on the palate, with firm yet very elegant tannins. Mineral and compact, with balanced acidity, layered black and red fruit, and a long, clean, complex, lively finish. A wine that is for Long-term aging. | 93
Andrew Jefford | Clear and translucent garnet-red. Warm red fruits, with a gamey, slightly rubbery cast; just a little disconcerting. Dry and a little bitter on the palate, with a biting style; perhaps the ripeness has got the better of the vineyard here? A drinkable wine nonetheless and with a classic amplitude to it. Generous, though definitely a food style. | 88
Anthony Rose | Medium-ruby hue; a tad evolved, as if aged in larger old oak vats, but still pleasant, fresh, typically cherryish Sangio aromas; nice initial sweetness of fruit on the palate, good texture and medium intensity of flavor. Firmish, slightly drying grip of tannins for good structure and aging, with a nice spine of acidity, too. Traditional and worthy. | 90
