Simon Field | Straw color. A slightly hard nose of orchard fruit and something from the kitchen garden; a warmish day, but the sun is not strong and the sky is not blue. Palate has a precocious fizz, an almost waxy veneer, and a mute acidity, parsimonious and a little rustic. | 88
Andrew Jefford | Clear mid-gold in color. Doughy, sweet- edged, and rich, with some apricot fruit and lots of blossomy floral notes. Cold cream, too: complex and attractive. This is, in the mouth, a vinous, firm, broadly constructed wine, with a little less aromatic complexity than the aromas suggested, majoring on apricot fruit and white almond marrow. Delicious withal: No fan of the appellation will be disappointed. | 88
John Livingstone-Learmonth | Clear sheen, yellow robe. Drifting, floating aroma in a mild register, floral notes with touches of pear and apricot, a suggestion of aniseed, licorice. It’s a neat and shapely start. The palate glides along with ease, assembles white fruits with a spark of minerality. It’s a little loose on the finish, the already restrained flavor dropping back. Apéritif okay here, but it’s rather tame for me. 2020. | 86
