Bruno Besa | Garnet to light tawny. Clean, refined small red fruits nose, compact raspberry and wild strawberry; intense, with complex tar and Mediterranean herb undertones. Medium to full body, with layered fruits and tannins, fragrant, with cranberries and red apples. Youthful, clean finish. Impeccable winemaking, needs time. | 93
Stephen Brook | The cherry-scented nose is very subdued, but there is ample fruit lurking. Broad and almost lush, this is an avowedly fruity style, but with good concentration and robust tannins. There’s a distinct earthiness that should diminish with time. More worrying, perhaps, is a slight lack of acidity and freshness. But given that this is an essentially solid style, it seems balanced and has decent length. But a bit more finesse and nuance would have been welcome. | 90
Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep black-red. Sweet, warm, ample, and open cherry-plum fruits: enticing if straightforward. On the palate, it is perhaps a little disappointing: chunky, firm, drying toward the end, with a little too much unsupported bitterness. 2018–20. | 83
