Andrew Jefford | Pale steel-gold. Fresh, sweet, and floral, with musky rose and clean, enticing grapefruit, too. The palate, too, delivers everything you hope this variety will provide. It’s ample, full, and round, with more muted acidity than many of its trocken peers. The finish is just a little weighty, and the musk rose lingers: hugely enjoyable. | 88
Anne Krebiechl | Subtle notes of passion fruit appear amid vivid notes of frosted lemon. The tropical intensity of the tart fruit becomes more apparent on the palate, where everything is put into sharp relief by intense and ripe lemon zestiness. This is concentrated, exciting, intense, and layered. The texture is reminiscent of freshly cut lemon peel. The finish is a picture of precision. | 93
Stephan Reinhardt | This intense and complex bouquet shows a nice mix of ripe fruit, herbal, and mineral notes of crushed (flint) stones. On the palate, this is a pure and elegant, refined, and densely woven Scheu with fine and crunchy tannins and a remarkable concentration. The finish is intense and long, perfectly round and with gastronomic grip. Very elegant and linear—a serious wine from a rather frivolous grape variety. | 91
