Andrew Jefford: Pale gold. Less depth of aroma than most; sound but not complex. Vivid, deep; lots of acidity here, but without quite the levels of fruit clinging to it that one would hope for. Finishes slightly bitterly tart. No sense, I'm afraid, of sweet perfume of fruit. 11
Simon Larkin : Similar hue - if anything, a little lighter. Ripe green apple, skinny, some elder. The palate shows fresh green-apple fruit. The acidity is very evident on the finish - it seems to be in a different race. Almost a piercing quality to the acid, which makes for a most disjointed impression. 13
Alexander Scott: Great richness on the nose. The palate is slightly hot and clumsy, lacking a central arch of development. Some residual sugar, I’d guess - certainly a lingering impression of sweetness. But we need to keep in perspective that there’s nothing wrong with that per se, and that this is still ripe and enjoyable wine in the right context: some dishes positively require some sweetness in the wine. 13.5
