Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. Sweet-fruited, with a citrus-like or tangerine-like note mingled with the blackcurrant, which is very attractive. There’s ample, even assertive oak framing, too, but the overall effect is good. That sums up the palate, too: lovely juicy, ripe fruit that shows quite a lot of oak at this stage. 2018–23. | 88
Michael Schuster | Subtle, oak-cedary nose; medium-full, fresh, very finely tannic, a lovely restrained Margaux balance; freshly, sweetly ripe, discreet, and pure in flavor, long and gently racy, refined, fragrant, complete, and with lovely persistence on the finish, of both fruit and perfume. A classy, classic, complete expression of Margaux. Accessible early because the balance is so fine, but so complete and harmonious that this will have decades of life. A splendid effort. 2022–40+. | 94
