Andrew Jefford | Saturated deep black-red. Very pure blackcurrant scents here: classic Cabernet for the time being. These fruits seem to have a more warmly framed style than some of the commune peers. Choice, fresh, lively but with better balance than many of those peers: the acidity is less insistent and piercing, and there is a little more expansiveness to the fruit. Little tannin, but there is some, and the finish has a fine Médocain sobriety to it. 2018–23. | 88
Michael Schuster | Very ripe fruit to smell, quite new oak- marked; medium-full, gently fresh, oak-dry in tannin, but not coarse; a red-fruit ripe, delicate Margaux fruit a bit dominated by its oak-dry texture, which I find distracts from the nice core flavor, and dominates the fruit finish somewhat. A pity? A bit more than just a question of style? Likely always to be a bit dry-edged. 2022–30+. | 87
