Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red. Plummy, earthy, gentle, and enticing scents, though rather lacking in precision and focus. After some time in the glass, some plum and damson freshness and purity emerges: pretty, ripe, enticing. In the mouth, this is vivid and lively, with some attractive plummy depths: sweet, round and shapely, and huge fun to drink. Truly lovely fruit here, backed by charming soft tannins. It’s not a long-term prospect, but in the short term no one will be disappointed by this out-and-out charmer. 2018–22. | 88
Michael Schuster | Quite a light, new wood-dominated nose; on the palate, this is medium-full, moderately tannic, and lively in acidity; modest red-fruit flavor within a fairly chewy texture; lean and dry and tannic, that is. Needs food—not a great deal of pleasure here. Best, probably, drunk young. Now to 2024. | 85
