BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Lean, smoky nose, cherries, tobacco. Light, simple, not very concentrated, light tannins so the wine isn’t too pungent. Modest, but that’s a virtue here. Balanced, but it is fairly short. 15

Michael Schuster: Dark red; ripe fruit and strong new oak to smell; medium-full wine with a good quality ripe fruit masked by a very dry wood tannin; the oak astringency completely distracts from the fine, delicately ripe St-Emilion fruit. A pity. Again! 14
