Alison Buchanan: Pale gold straw. This has an attractive briny nose, crushed shells and salt. The palate is not as dry as the nose suggests but there is an alluring saline character—good wine. | 89

Andrew Jefford: Pale straw gold. Convincing flor aromas, with a soft-scented, grainy fullness to them: refined and attractive. Dry, yet with a natural sweetness of fruit behind, which means that this is a well-rounded dryness; some soft citrus acidity, and the comforting, mouthwatering tang of flor. A successful and enjoyable Fino style and a lovely apéritif wine. | 89

Margaret Rand: Syrupy, slightly toffeeish nose a bit like pale cream Sherry. Palate is a bit better: has a bit of zip and zing. A curious wine—what is it for? Medium-sweet, some pungency of a Sherryish kind. Agreeable, with a good finish, with a bit of punch and pungency. It has many good points but seems a bit of a compromise between something really good and something inoffensive. It gets better on acquaintance, more pungent, but the texture is too thick, too creamy to be refreshing. | 86
