Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Spicy, fairly tense, but still with flesh. Strong oaky notes, undoubtedly successful. | 93

Michael Schuster | Dumb but dense; rich, quite tannic, a serious balance, with a certain musculature, for the year; freshly ripe, mineral, long, deep, tasty, and generous, a fairly “grand” style, with plenty of matter, and with fine aromatic length. Likely to always be a somewhat solid expression of 2017. Will certainly need time. 2030–40+. | 91–92+
