Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Intense color. A precise palate, very typical of this cru, combining red and black berry fruit, a little hint of smokiness, and the texture of a great vintage. Tasted twice. | 93
Michael Schuster | Light, fresh, gently mineral; medium-full, fresh, finely tannic; sweet in fruit, fairly delicate in character, moderately complex, without that much fruit concentration, but a fine perfume. Rather like the Gruaud-Larose (tasted immediately before), this is restrained and fine, if a bit lacking in depth and reach. (The 2016 Talbot, retasted, has noticeably more matter, depth and length: 91–93.) 2027–37+. | 89–91
