BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | A considerable proportion of the vineyard was not frosted, happily, so there will be a respectable quantity of this great wine, which is deliciously fruity and perfectly botrytized, no doubt a little less powerful than Haut-Sauternes, but typically Barsac in style. Tasted five times. | 94

Michael Schuster | Light, fresh, gently minerally nose; fresh, concentrated, medium-full wine; very sweet, very nicely defined by its acidity, long and gently racy, botrytis-complex to taste, and with a lovely, subtly fruit- and mineral-based aftertaste. Complete, restrained, stylish, and with great—characteristic—finesse. This is a very fine 2017 Barsac. | 93–94+
