BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage | Attractive mid-depth hue. Forward, fruit-driven nose, plums, prunes on one side, something almost citric on the other. Rich, ripe, creamy fruit, which fills the mouth and lasts for some considerable time. There is coffee and spice and dried fruit, sufficient to keep it going for a few years. | 92

Bruno Besa | Deep ruby to garnet. Intense mineral nose, with clean small red fruits, complex, ripe, with toasted nuts, Mediterranean herbs, plums, and vanilla. Medium to full body, with sweet red fruit, refined tannins, and a long, clean, mineral finish. Another impeccable Sangiovese with good aging potential. | 94

Andrew Jefford | Deep, clear black-red. Warm, sweet, fresh scents, with some light and lift to them. Some oak evident, too. Rather stretched on the palate; skinny fruit and a dry finish. However, it is a concentrated wine, with some depth of fruit despite the skinny style. | 82
