BUY THE WINE

Victoria Daskal | Greengage, lemon pith, and cold-smoke aromas. Sharp acidity grabs hold with distinct smoky flavors coming through on the palate. Dry and a bit tough, but interesting. | 90

Jamie Goode | Fabulously detailed, with rounded, expressive tangerine, lemon, and pear fruit. Generous but with lovely acidity and a fine, mineral core that holds everything nicely in tension. | 95

Andrew Jefford | Bright pale gold. Very raw and green-bean for this tasting; surely you’d guess Sauvignon Blanc here. Yet the alcohol is satisfactory and doesn’t suggest an early pick... Canopy? On the palate, it is an unpleasantly acidic wine that fails to please with any of the wealth, charm, and resonance of the best wines of this tasting, alas. | 79
