BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Pale garnet to light tawny. A touch closed, white-truffle and small red fruits nose, with road tar, violets, and roses. Medium to full body, refined and complex, with fine tannins, small red fruits, and an elegant, rosewater, red-cherry finish. Another class act for long-term aging. | 96

Stephen Brook | Lush raspberry and cherry nose, showing abundant fruit. Rich and forthright, with no rough edges, despite the firm tannins. Lively fruit coasts along the palate, with spice and sucrosity. The wine seems complete, with all elements in place, even if it’s not yet fully expressive. Fine texture and finish. But give it time. | 93

Andrew Jefford | Pale, light, clear, and glowing red. Sweet, warm red fruits: strawberry and pomegranate, with a little woodland complexity behind. A touch of tar. Some floral notes, too, and all in rather a straightforward, ingenuous style. This is a rounder, fuller, warmer, and softer wine than many of its peers, but the concentration and complexity levels are good, and it is easy to drink yet also very satisfying. Excellent. With a little more aromatic subtlety, this would get a high score. | 90
