Bruno Besa | Garnet to light tawny. A touch closed, restrained and refined black and red fruits nose, with toasted nuts, rosewater, and pomegranate. Compact, clean, sweet red fruit palate. Long and complex finish. | 95
Stephen Brook | Robust raspberry nose. Broad and juicy, concentrated and dense, but quite severe in its tannic structure, and the acidity is angular. This lacks polish and finesse and finishes rather dry—a shame, because the fruit quality is fundamentally sound. | 87
Andrew Jefford | Deep clear red. An attractive aromatic profile in which the natural sweetness of 2013’s fruit mingles with some leafy freshness and some autumnal glow. The result is gratifying, comforting, enticing, though perhaps just a little bit soupy. On the palate, this is soft and round yet very, very generous, with splendid finishing tannic complexities and resonant warmth. It’s one of the rare wines today that would combine an easy and almost flattering appeal with depth, density, succulence, and profundity. | 92
