BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink. Open, mature, mineral, complex prunes/cherries nose, with minerals, leather, and road tar. Full body, slightly high-tone tannins. Needs time to balance the palate. | 91

Stephen Brook | Closed nose, withatouch of wood. Rich and assertive, has power and density. Brooding cherry fruit, with chocolaty tannins and a hint of rusticity. It may lack a deftness of touch, but it is Serralunga, with its might and weight. Give it time. Long, dense, chewy finish. | 91

Andrew Jefford | Clear and bright light red. Warm, sweet, almost raisiny fruits; confit cherry, too, with some tobacco. Elemental but a little stringy and sinewy. Enjoyable in a rustic, old-fashioned style. | 85
