Bruno Besa | Garnet to tawny. Clean red fruit, youthful and transparent, with vanilla, bing cherries, and Mediterranean herbs. Mature palate, medium body, with clean red fruit. Very well-made wine, inviting, just a touch simple on the finish. | 87
Stephen Brook | Lean, almost tart, cranberry and sour-cherry nose—bracing and aromatic rather than green. Caressing attack, but then the volume is soon turned up. It’s spicy and bold, but there is a hint of alcohol on the mid-palate. The tannins are riper than the nose would have led me to expect. The finish is forthright and has grip and energy. The tannins add welcome grain to the texture on the finish, which is harmonious and quite long. | 90
Andrew Jefford | Light, limpid, and clear. Sweet, warm, light, and with lots of pippy fresh raspberry and underlying spices—a very Côte de Nuits style. Round, soft, and milky; nothing raw or affronting here. On the palate, this is fresh, brisk, and almost a little raw in terms of its fruit style, though texturally rounded and resolved, with ample tannin and planty fullness. A very good effort, and very faithful to the vintage. | 91
