Bruno Besa | Garnet to tawny. A touch closed on the nose, herbal, with prunes and violets. Medium body, with round clean fruit. Fairly long, but a touch simple on the finish. | 87
Stephen Brook | Delicate, filigree, raspberry nose. Medium-bodied and svelte, this has an enticing texture but not much depth of fruit. There’s good underlying acidity that gives some line and persistence, but it lacks some dash and flair. Moderate length and a solid, chocolaty finish. | 86
Andrew Jefford | Clear and translucent, but with redder hues than most. Fresh and brightly fruity—a wine that went into bottle earlier than some of its peers? If so, it seems to be a strategy that has paid off; this is straightforwardly enjoyable, with plenty of pure plum. On the palate, it has texture and the same fruit purity the nose suggested, but without a lot of richness or complexity. Not in any way unsatisfying, though. | 85
