Alison Buchanan: Richly extracted black cherry in colour, this has a very modern feel. Intensely fruited with cassis, chocolate cherry liqueur and kirsch notes. This is something of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Lulled into a false sense of security by a luscious seductive nose: this is surprisingly muscular on the palate. Powerfully structured, this shows wonderful potential, but the extraction was perhaps a tad overenthusiastic. 17

Jancis Robinson: Purple. Rather closed, subtle perfume. Lovely, structured fruit and tannins. Rich, long, warm ripe. 18.5

Jeremy Watson: Now this is good. Lovely, very dark rich colour, with lots of extracted fruit aromas and flavours indicating an expertly made wine with great potential. 18.5
