Alison Buchanan: Darkly coloured, this has a serious, slightly spirity nose, allied to hot clay and ink. The palate presents blown, waxy fruit, hemmed in by gripping tannins, only to blossom in a profusion of violets and roses mid-palate. The finish is slightly cropped by the tannins. 15
Jancis Robinson: Purple. Nice, fresh, clean raspberry scents, with a whiff of cheese. Lovely fresh Tempranillo fruit; rich, delicious, lipsmacking acidity. 18
Jeremy Watson: Another high-extract, teeth-rasping wine with bags of fruit, especially in the mouth. Good wine without being special. 16
