BUY THE WINE

Alison Buchanan: Attractive yellow-gold in appearance, this has rather an attractive, complex nose, with honeyed apples and nuts given vitality by a certain steely intensity. The palate is rich and ripe, reflecting the apple character of the nose. There is some direction here, but it still lacks some freshness and seems à boire now if not before. 12.5

Nicolas Belfrage: Yellow straw. Herbs and apple-pear fruit on nose. Buttery mouthfeel with good balancing acidity and length. A wine of elegance and balance; restrained and characterful. 15

Alex Hunt: Muted and slightly bilious nose. Little character on the palate. Weedy, one-dimensional, short and slightly bitter. 9
