Andrew Jefford: This wine is slightly paler than the village wine, is less forthcoming aromatically and seems to have a little less concentration of fruit. However the palate is soft, pretty, comely and tremblingly ripe, with lots of glycerine and unusually silky tannins, so given time it should begin to find some more push and thrust.
