Andrew Jefford: Impressively coloured, with a multifaceted aroma of raspberries, cherries and cracked cherry kernels. The flavour is mouth-filling and full-textured, with seamlessly intergrated tannins and a dazzling concentration of fruit. The fruits are darker than the aromas suggest: plums and sloes rather than raspberries, given firm edge and definition by the tannins. Crunchy, pure and deep, this is a fine long-term prospect (assuming the wine is sensitively bottled).
