Stephen Brook: Medium straw. Super-ripe nose but unmistakably Riesling, with fine apricot and peach fruit. Rich, rounded, supple – like falling into soft cushions – and then a spurt of strong acidity and a mineral tang. Not harmonious yet but should become so in time, with a citric, almost grapefruity finish that adds complexity. Good length. 17

Simon Field: Tight, unforthcoming nose; flint and hints of apple. On the palate, the weave is impressive; firm yet with a generosity of fruit and power on the finish, both of which do justice to the excellent vintage conditions and hint at an impressive future. 18
