BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Medium straw. Rich, juicy, peach- syrup nose, honeyed, withatouch of botrytis. Rich, rounded, quite powerful, voluptuous, but has good underlying acidity that saves it from soupiness. Power and alcohol give it persistence if little finesse. Good length. 16

Simon Field: A classic nose, resinous, floral, venal. On the palate, the wine is slightly hot, the acidity somewhat reticent, but an impressive effort nonetheless. 16.5
