Stephen Brook: Full straw. Lush, honeyed nose, super-ripe, apricot fruit, but with stony mineral nuances. Very rich and lush, perhaps at the expense of minerality and zest. Velvety and supple, but a touch overblown. Forward and not for the long haul, though it has enough acidity on the finish to keep it lively for a few years yet. Fairly good length, but it does tail off. 17
Simon Field: Rich golden colouring. Ripeness, oranges and marmalade. Weighty palate, slightly overbearingly rich, with insufficient acidity to put it into the first rank. Slightly vegetal notes, with an atypical lack of focus somewhere. 14
