Simon Field: Quite an evolved colour. The nose is sweet, a touch caramelised, slightly hot and lacking freshness. The palate is more disciplined: not a blockbuster but has real definition, firm acidity and a spicy fruit bowl to tempt. Quite forthright and not the longest of examples, but classy nonetheless, and capable of further development. 16.5

Andrew Jefford: Pretty clear now and beginning to brick up: premature senescence, I’d say... Zero, nulle. How sad! Light, vintage-character style. Should never have got through the IVP... 9

Richard Mayson: Mid-deep colour, ruby-pink rim. Attractive tight-knit berry fruit. Good fruit on the palate - bitter cherry and peppery/spicy tannins rising in the mouth. Fine, firm, quite sinewy and austere on the finish. Drink now (just) to 2025. 16.5
