Stephen Brook: Fresh limey nose, quite piquant, shows promise. Very sweet for Spatlese, creamy, opulent, but has some underlying acidity and structure - perhaps not quite enough, but it should still develop well. Good length. 17

Andrew Jefford: Pale water-gold. Clean, fresh, greengage-like fruits: plain but true. Lots of sweetness, but balanced for the long haul by clean, frank apple-grape fruit characters. No great minerality here, though. A plain Jane. 14

Jancis Robinson: Markedly 'cool' nose with some appley character. A bit introverted and restrained for now and rather less opulent than most representatives of this vintage. Distinctive. Drink 2007-15. 15
