Stephen Brook: Powerful nose, has depth, though it is inexpressive now. Distinctly sweet, supple, broad but it has acidity; tangy, but a touch heavy-handed nonetheless. Quite good length. 14.5

Andrew Jefford: Water-gold and shafts of green. Dense, earthy, very slightly sweaty. Style perfectly correct, but no real excitement, which for this vintage must be seen as disappointing. Rather runs on its admittedly ripe and appealing acidity; no mineral complexity at the end. 13

Jancis Robinson: Very distinctively nutty note. Lots of ripeness on the front palate and the merest hint of apple peel on the finish. Still very youthful, though I think there is considerably more to give. Drink 2008-16.15.5
