Tim Atkin : Dark, concentrated, opaque purple. Complex, claret-like nose with oak and fruit in harmony. Scented and appetising. Firm, but well-integrated tannins on the palate and classic Cabernet flavours. A wine that is lovely now but will develop over time. Very harmonious, very well judged. 18

Oz Clarke: Full red, almost no age. Deep, with black plum and blackcurrant and deep leafy scent. On the palate, big, deep, dense. It is a rich and dark expression of cool-climate style and I suspect it’s from vineyards south of the Margaret River itself. But it is good. Despite the fruit not being fully ripe, this is an excellent balanced wine, and it speaks of its place. I'll forgive a wine an awful lot if I can read its place and the care and attention of its creators in the flavour. If you like fully ripe, extractive rich reds, this isn’t for you. But if you like a slightly green streak in your wine, matched by dark plum and blackcurrant fruit and pleasantly softening oak, this is very attractive. Now ready, won’t massively improve, but will age for 5 years or more. 17.5

Michael Schuster: Inky black-red; intense, sweet, berry fruit, subtle mineral and a touch of mint, a fine bouquet in the making; concentrated medium-weight wine with a very firm (added?) acidity and very dry tannin; good-quality fruit throttled by its structure - that is, too much wood tannin and acid for the natural fruit flavour. Pinched and dry to finish. 14.5
