Tim Atkin : Some development at rim. Flat nose, lacking in oomph and vitality. Young vines or heavy crop? Palate pleasant, commercial and slightly sweet, with easy-drinking berry fruit. An undemanding crowd pleaser. 12

Oz Clarke: Not particularly dense red. Now a little green with a certain quite attractive whiff of that pink mouthwash at the dentist’s (which 1 like!). On the palate - not that distinct, fairly good, full, slightly stewy fruit, ripe enough but not focused, and there is a feeling that maybe they’ve tried to squeeze a bit too much flavour out of grapes that hadn't quite got what it takes. Some glycerine texture and a little chocolate on the oak. The fruit is red rather than black, implying it was perhaps not fully ripe or from a high-yield area like Jindong. This treatment requires more gutsy grapes. 15.5

Michael Schuster: Dark red; dumb, faintly minerally nose; medium full, firm acid, dry tannin - structure dominates limited fruit; medium length. Not bad, but not a great deal to it. 14
