BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Oaky; but fresh lemon, mineral and honey nose; rich, vigorous, medium-weight Sauternes; lovely aristocratic balance, intensely sweet; vividly succulent, mineral-backed flavour, fresh, racy and very long. Intensity without heaviness - a great Barsac. 18.5+

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Less liqueur-rich than the Climens, with splendidly Barsac character, citrus undertones and no hint of heaviness. 17/18
