Michael Schuster: Concentrated but with an excellent vitality; beautifully balanced, rich Barsac style, intensely sweet but very well contained; long, complex honey, fig, raisin and citrus-zest flavours, superb aromatic persistence. Still unformed, but most promising. 17.5

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: A welcome return to a more prudent style of winemaking from this estate. The idea is still to create the richest wine possible, but they have opted for greater complexity and aromatic freshness. A wise move, but we wait to see whether it holds good at the point of bottling. 16
