Stephen Brook: Rich oaky nose. Broad and succulent, quite oaky, has weight without flab, some spice and moderate acidity, has typical Bâtard power but lacks lift; quite good length. 16.5
Andrew Jefford: Pale silver-gold. Oak dominates at present: warm, structured, sweet-fruited; finishing spice, too. Not hugely intricate yet, and no sense that it ever will be, but sound and satisfying. Vivid, lively, fresh, and ripe. The breed of the vineyard gives this a layered quality. Fresh, scented lemon and lime. Some stone to finish. Warm, wealthy, frank, though not sublime; delicious, by contrast, and ready soon. 16
