Alex Hunt: Bright, young, ambitious wine, with quite a Burgundian feel (sleek red fruit, plenty of gas, a suggestion of oak spice) but a suitably Fleurie-like floral overtone and succulence. Sags slightly at the end, but I hope that with a year in bottle this will have successfully knitted together. 87

Andrew Jefford: Very deep, dark black purple-red. Sweet, tarry, cherry and black plum; some yogurty lactic notes, too. Structured and broad-beamed, with lots of youthful freshness and energy to it. There’s much to like in this ambitious wine, and it’s only the lactic-fermenty notes that hold me back from a higher score. Another six months may see these disappear and all the wine’s potential come good. 90

Peter Liem: This is dark and meaty, though it remains fairly simple and straightforward throughout the palate. There’s a slightly barnyardy character that might put you off, if you’re sensitive to it. 83
