Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Slightly reduced on the nose, but exceptionally elegant on the palate, with refined and subtle tannins. A classically made, supremely classy wine. 17.5/18

Michael Schuster: Savory, spicy on the nose; well balanced, relatively supple middleweight with a fine, firm tannin; fully ripe fruit, mineral-scented, long in the mouth, linear in style with a faint austerity, and good, scented length. Nice; will probably benefit from a bit more bottle age than many. 2014–24+. 16.5+
